PARISH VOCATIONS TEAM
Can you help? Our Parish Vocations Team has a particular responsibility to foster prayer for all vocations and especially vocations to the Priesthood and Religious Life. We are looking for more families who are prepared to commit to praying daily, together when possible for a week. A vocations Icon is presented to a family after a Sunday or vigil Mass and is circulated around the Parish with each family receiving it for one week. Please consider if you are prepared to participate in this programme and if so, please advise Liz or Canon Jim.

NEW PARISH YOUTH LEADERS
are required to join our committed and enthusiastic Youth Ministry Team. We need people to assist with the development of the pre-confirmation Youth  Programme which takes place on Sunday evenings during school term time. If you think you may be able to get involved please phone, write or email the Parish Office as soon as possible. You will be joining a supportive team of adults who wish to encourage challenge and stimulate our young people to engage in faith related matters and deepen their faith. Our young people need you!

VISITING SCHEME
The SVP are seeking to set up a support visiting scheme for one of our housebound lady Parishioners. If you feel able to help please leave your name and a contact number at the Parish Office.

Is this you?
Have you just moved from work to retirement? Have children moving on in their lives, giving you more spare time? Have you discovered hidden talents? St John the Baptist Parish can always do with more people in the large team that looks after the parish. You don’t have to join a rota! There are jobs that you could do as it suits you. For instance, we could do with a handyman/woman. Ring Liz at the Parish Office Mon-Fri 09.00-15.00.
