The SJB Toddler Group has been running for over 30 years in this parish. The group seeks to provide a safe and stimulating environment for children to play and for mums and dads to catch p, make new friends and enjoy a cup of coffee. The group runs between 12 – 2pm every Wednesday during term-time.

The co-workers of Mother Teresa group meet in the Parish Hall on the third Wednesday of each month from 2-4pm but are also supported by those that want to be involved but cannot attend these meetings regularly.
The work entails many aspects. These include:
• Putting together wrapped Christmas parcels for the homeless which include: Knitted hats, scarves and gloves, toothbrushes, tissues, razors, socks and soap
• Using old white sheets to make 1, 2, 3 and 4 inch bandages and cot sheets (Dimensions approx.42 inches by 50 inches or 105cm by 125cm)
• Knitting or crocheting 6 inch squares to make into knitted blankets Dimensions approx 6 squares by 7 squares or for baby blankets(light colours) 6 squares by 5 squares.
• Knitting any baby and small children’s clothes.
• Sewing small children’s clothes
• Collecting partially used cosmetics
The meeting also includes a short prayer session and a cup of tea. A labelled box is stored in the church lobby for any contributions towards any of the above including old white sheets and odd balls of wool. Last year (2013) the group managed to produce 16 Christmas parcels for the homeless, 20 cot sheets, many knitted blankets and numerous bandages. The patterns used for the hats, scarves and gloves are below. Please take a copy if you can help. Anybody is welcome to join and don’t have to be parishioners.
