All Catholic parishes (like ours) are self-sustaining.

We receive no money from the Pope or the Archbishop, but instead pay our dues to the Archdiocese of Southwark. These are substantial. On top of this, there are the fixed costs of the parish: heating, lighting, phones, internet, maintaining the premises, and supporting our parish clergy. We depend upon your generosity in order to exist.

One lasting way to support the parish – and future generations of Catholics in Purley – is to leave a legacy to the parish. Finally, offering a stipend for a Mass intention is a way of contributing to the upkeep of your priests. It is a donation not a fee, but our archdiocese recommends a minimum of £10.
